The English Channel Swimming Federation aims:
to promote the sport of long distance swimming world-wide and assist organisations and swimmers to attempt such swims in all ways possible. We have representatives across the globe to help and assist with any questions to make our sport friendly and safe.
to assist, observe and authenticate those taking part in the sports of swimming, and 'by any other means' acceptable to the relevant authorities (canoeing, rowing etc.) in their attempts to cross the English Channel.
Masters Swimming WA is part of the worldwide masters swimming movement. Membership is open to adult swimmers aged 20 years and above regardless of ability. There are 29 AUSSI Masters Swimming Clubs in WA. Many of these clubs have a strong focus towards open water swimming including all aspects of training for the Rottnest Channel Swim.
