2009 iiNet Team Sprint Cup
3pm, Sunday 15th February 2009 (1 week before the WAtoday Rottnest Channel Swim)
Entry forms and more information at http://www.teamsprintcup.com
The Team Sprint Cup is a unique sprint swimming team event based on a 6 x 50m relay format, where teams can be formed through corporate ties, mates, social groups, surf clubs, swimming clubs, sporting clubs and families. Because of the nature of a 6 x 50m relay the event is fast flowing with great excitement as lead positions change over the course of 6 laps. The afternoon at the pool is great for families with showcase events comprising local sporting identities and some of the fastest WA sprint swimmers plus music, food and drinks scheduled at the event conclusion. All proceeds go to the Autism West Support Inc. which provides support for families with children who are on the Autism Spectrum. The inaugural 2008 event was a great success with a total in excess of $53,000 being raised for Autism West Support Inc.
