EVERYDAY HERO

With Christmas having just passed us by, spare a thought for those in need and help support the organisations that support them.

Everyday Hero is a new online fundraising program that has been set up through our website, making it a fun way to be a part of the community and raise much needed funds for charity. It's so easy to use and a great way of building the excitement in the lead up to the big swim - you could start by creating a friendly competition to see who can raise the most money for your worthy cause!

It's so easy to do, just click on the link:  http://www.everydayhero.com.au/event/rottnest_channel_swim10  and follow the step by step instructions to set up your very own fundraising page. It will only take you a matter of minutes and it is a fun way to get your friends and family involved in making your swim to Rotto contribute to those less fortunate.

There are some great ways for you to ask your friends and family to help support your chosen charity. You can spread the word by an email which is set up for you on your Everyday Hero page, via ecards or through social networks like facebook and twitter! If you need some inspiration or some other ideas on how you can encourage people to make a contribution, Everyday Hero has some great suggestions to help you along your way (link below).

With the click of a button, those wanting to make a donation to your chosen charity, are taken straight to your personal page where they can support your cause and keep track of the amount of money you have raised to date.

The 2010 WAtoday Rottnest Channel Swim proudly supports Leeuwin Ocean Adventures, the Starlight Foundation, the Royal Flying Doctor Service, and the Fremantle Volunteer Sea Rescue Group. You too can help raise funds for these charities, or choose from the 101 charities available through Everyday Hero.

Start making a difference today and set up your Everyday Hero fundraising page!
