2007 Multiplex Living Rottnest Channel Swim Update #2

2007 Multiplex Living Rottnest Channel Swim Competitor,
With the 2007 Swim drawing ever closer there are a number of items that require attention to ensure everything is in order for a safe and un-eventful 2007 Multiplex Living Rottnest Channel Swim.

To keep all competitors informed in the lead up to the 2007 Swim all email addresses collected during the entry process have been added to the mailing list. Please discuss items raised in these updates with your fellow team members and support crews to ensure that nothing has been overlooked in your preparation for the 2007 Multiplex Living Rottnest Channel Swim.

All Competitors

Entry forms

A large number of entry forms have not been updated to include required emergency contact information for competitors, it is important that this be done before Wednesday 3, January 2007.

In some cases updating your entry may cause the race number to be re-calculated, if your entry is updated after Wednesday 3, January 2007 it may cause problems with collection of your competitor pack, shirts, race number etc, at the race breifing.

Please update your entry by completing the following steps:

• log in to the web site using the username used to submit your entry
• select 'my account' from the menu on the right
• select the 'entry details' tab
• select the 'edit' option from the operations column

Don't forget to save your changes by clicking the 'update entry' button at the bottom of the page.

Competitor shirts

Many competitors did not order their competitor shirts at the time of entry and now run the risk of missing out if they have not been ordered by Wednesday 3, January 2007.

If you did not order your competitor shirts with your entry please do so by logging in to the web site using the username used to submit your entry and selecting 'shop' from the primary menu at the top of the page, add the number of shirts required to your shopping cart. Follow the purchase process and submit your order, the system will discount the appropriate number of shirts to a zero value for the entry you have purchased and your order will be added to your account.

If you would like shirts in addition to your competitor shirts follow the process outlined above and complete the process via purchase by credit card.

All shirts will be available for collection at the race breifing.

Support boat details

If your support boat details have no yet been entred please do so. The cut off date for support boat details to be entered has not yet been set but it will be around mid January.

Nutrition Presentation

Sports dietitian and fellow swimmer, Roslyn Soanes will present in detail what to eat when you swim to Rottnest.

Solo swimmers

All first time solo swimmers must prove their ability to complete the 19.2km event in the required time and will be asked to enter the 10km Rotto Rehearsal.
